Donuts and Paintings

In the beginning of October, Susie and I went to an open gallery walk on a Saturday night. It was a lot of fun. Several artists opened their galleries. Our first stop was at an exhibit called re-form where artists were asked to use various objects in new pieces. It was also a potluck so we brought a salad. Our friends Eren and Ari also brought a salad. The potluck featured the standard dishes: cheese, crackers, Chardonnay. The biggest surprise for me though were the donuts. I love art exhibits but I think they can be a little stuffy sometimes. The sight of the donuts brought a tear to my eye. My knees weakened. After having a plate of salad and cheese, I grabbed up a donut and strolled around the gallery. Here are some photos from that night.

These two photos are from Lulubell Toy Bodega, a toy store/art gallery.

After seeing all this different art, I was inspired to create my own art later that night at a Mexican restaurant. I just want to say I was not drunk when I did this.

It was supposed to be a smiley face.
(Umm. I should probably stick to other hobbies)
